About Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a perfectly natural phenomenon that occurs in everyone many times throughout each day.

Although many people associate it with normal sleep it is in fact, entirely the opposite of sleep, often being described as a heightened state of awareness and alertness.

It occurs at times when you change your awareness from the world around you to focus more on your own internalised thoughts, feelings and imagination.

Hypnosis is entirely safe, totally natural and usually an amazingly enjoyable experience.

About Hypnotherapy

Clinical Hypnotherapy means using a person's natural ability to enter hypnosis to treat a variety of medical and psychological problems and conditions.

It is estimated that 85-90% of people will respond well to clinical hypnotherapy and receive noticeable benefits. Indeed, t has often succeeds where other, more conventional methods of treatments don't.

When carried out by a professionally trained and skilled hypnotherapist, the benefits can be long lasting and often permanent.

Unlike other, more conventional treatments, Hypnotherapy is generally only used for brief, strategic therapy. This enables you to quickly gain the benefits of treatment in just a few sessions and learn the skils you need to be able to carry on the positive changes on their own.

As many as you need, and not any more or any less! Typically hypnotherapy is seen as short term and is used strategically. This is normal and very common. In reality you are always in control. You can always accept or reject any suggestion a therapist gives you. (just like you can when you're not hypnotised!)

A good therapist will be able to explain and allay any fears you may have, and can't proceed with hypnosis unless you want to.
